The Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation Indian Tribe sponsors a cultural festival during the second weekend in June. The tribe is in the process of developing 25 acres of land in Pleasant Grove as a cultural center which will include a museum. The reconstructed Indian Village is now complete and available for group tours
